Getaway driver arrested in shooting returned to Nashville [Video]

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A man wanted in a February shooting that injured a man has been returned to Nashville following his arrest in Atlanta.

Devin Lauderdale, 25, of Georgia, was identified by detectives as one of two men involved in Feb. 7 gunfire that hit a man in his hip and arm on Eighth Avenue South.

Police said Lauderdale was the passenger inside a Hyundai Elantra as it approached the victim, who was walking home from work. The driver exited the Elantra and chased the victim before firing at him.

Lauderdale is accused of getting in the driver’s seat and driving away once the shooter returned to the Elantra.

The investigation is ongoing into the gunman responsible. Lauderdale is jailed a the Downtown Detention Center and his bond is set at $250,000.
