UPDATE: CareOne on Wednesday afternoon issued a press release in which they said they are working with Eternity Funeral Services “to arrange for a proper and respectful burial” and that they are covering the cost of the funeral and burial for Polimeni.
A Bergen County funeral home is seeking help from the public locating the family of a 92-year-old woman who died last month at a nursing home.
Carmela Polimeni, a lifelong county resident, died alone in a CareOne nursing home July 17. She apparently didn’t have any relatives in New Jersey, according to Aree Booker, executive director of Eternity Funeral Services of Englewood. S
