Syracuse, N.Y. — Jo-Lonn Dunbar is hoping his 2014 NFL season starts better than his 2013 one.
The St. Louis Rams linebacker was suspended for the first four games of last season for violating the league’s performance-enhancing substances policy. He was later released by the Rams, and was re-signed only in time to play the last five games of the season.
But this year, after signing a two-year contract with the Rams in March, Dunbar said he’s eager for a fresh start.
“It’s one of those things where you just cut your losses on it,” Dunbar said on Saturday while helping run the free CNY Football Academy youth camp. “You cut your losses and leave it in the past. …
