TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Flora’s Market Run located at East 6th Street and North Tucson Boulevard has closed its doors for good.
The store, which made the announcement in a social media post on Tuesday morning, closed at 3 p.m. Monday.
“Sadly, I also opened Flora’s Market Run during a trying time in groceries,” the business said on its Facebook page. “It started with supply chain issues and ended with price increases. As a small independently owned market I had no way to compete with the buying power of the big guys.”
The market opened in 2020 in the spot of the old Rincon Market.
The business said even after making several pivots (downsizing the market, adding a juice bar, and then turning the market into an event space), it could not make it work.
The company also operates Prep & Pastry and Commoner & Co..
