(WFSB) – Following Sunday’s historic flooding, organizations have been offering assistance while the state, cities, and towns have been trying to assess the damage in order to request help.
Here are the resources and damage reporting tools that organizations, such as the Connecticut Division of Emergency Management & Homeland Security and the American Red Cross, have sent to Channel 3.
REPORTING DAMAGE
- This link is a survey to help state and local emergency officials across Connecticut assess damage which will determine if the state is eligible for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and/or Small Business Administration funding.
HELP
- The Connecticut United Way may be able to point flood victims in the right direction in terms of assistance. There’s also its 211 number.
- The American Red Cross may be able to offer victims some relief at its local chapters.
- Food Claims may be filed via FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program.
