First Alert Forecast: Heating up into mid 90s by late week [Video]

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The workweek is off to a beautiful start, and it continues on Tuesday. Look for mostly sunny skies, low humidity, and temperatures climbing from the 60s to the mid 80s. The high temperature will be seasonably warm, but that’s not going to last for long.

The warm-up continues on Wednesday with partly sunny skies and highs near 90. Thursday also looks hot with highs in the low 90s.

It gets even hotter later this week. The high temperature on Friday will be in the mid 90s. The record high temperature is 96°, set most recently in 2016. It may be even hotter on Saturday, and it’s possible we could at least tie the record high of 99° set in 2022. Right now, our forecast is for 97°. The heat wave lasts through the weekend …
