Firefighters battle blaze at Elyria heat treating building [Video]

ELYRIA, Ohio (WJW) – Elyria fire officials are investigating after a blaze broke out at a metal heat treating business Sunday morning.

Firefighters responded to a fire at Ohio Metallurgical Service on Clark Street around 8:15 a.m.

When they got there, firefighters found heavy smoke and fire coming from the building. Since it was closed at the time, officials say firefighters had to force their way inside.

There were no injuries.

The fire caused about $100,000 in damages.

According to the company’s website, Ohio Metallurgical Service, “has been providing quality heat treat services for over 75 years.”
