Fire investigators and law enforcement want the public’s help in figuring out the “suspicious nature” of a series of apparently human-caused fires that started July 11 in Malheur County, the Bureau of Land Management said Thursday.

The fires – Cow Valley, Bonita and others in the area – all started between about 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., and the federal agency is offering a monetary reward for information that leads investigators to a person or people responsible for starting any of the blazes. The bureau didn’t specify the amount of the reward.
