Early voting on the horizon for SC House District 113 primary special election [Video]

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – The Charleston County Board of Voter Registration and Elections has announced the start date of early voting in the South Carolina House District 113 special election primary.

Those who want to make their voices heard can show up to the board’s headquarters located at 4340 Corporate Road in North Charleston starting Monday.

Early voters will be able to go and cast their ballots from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for the next two weeks.

The official date of the primary special election is Jan. 21.

Voters will have a choice between three candidates, all Democrats. There were no Republican challengers in the November election, either.

Those candidates are Michelle Brandt, Kim Clark and Courtney Waters.

Brandt is a community leader who ran to represent SC House District 114 in 2022 but lost to Gary Brewer.

She has served in a variety of committees and been recognized for her volunteer work.
