DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) – Daily commercial flights connecting Dubuque Regional Airport and Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport are scheduled to begin on November 4.
Provided by Denver Air Connection, the 50-seat jet will leave O’Hare around noon, arrive in Dubuque, and leave to return to Chicago in the mid-afternoon. One-way tickets cost $121.50 on the regional carrier’s website.
“One flight is just the beginning,” said Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Molly Grover, explaining one of the city’s priorities is to provide long-term, sustainable air service to several major hubs.
Finding providers interested in investing in Dubuque is a critical step to accomplishing the city’s goal.
Denver Air Connection Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy Jon Coleman says the airline is conservative in its growth.
“We only go after business that we feel confident we can deliver on our promise,” explained Coleman. “If Denver Air didn’t know with 100% certainty that we could perform these flights, we just wouldn’t do it.”
