PORTLAND, Ore. — On Tuesday, 15 dogs and cats were seized from a home in Portland’s Lents neighborhood.
According to the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office, multiple people had reported “malnourished animals and hazardous living conditions” at the home on 6319 Southeast 86th Avenue.
A warrant was signed and issued to seize the animals Tuesday, in collaboration with Multnomah County Animal Services and The Oregon Humane Society.
MCDA Access Attorney Program (MAAP) prosecutors, working with the Portland Police Bureau’s East Precinct Neighborhood Response Team (NRT), responded and were able to seize 13 dogs and two cats.
