Disney World changing popular ticket reservation service [Video]

ORLANDO, Florida – Walt Disney World is overhauling its popular fast-pass service at the famous amusement park in Florida.

The theme park is getting rid of Genie+ starting July 24 and instead implementing Lightning Lane entry service.

Disney Genie+ service will become Lightning Lane Multi Pass, while individual Lightning Lane will now be known as Lightning Lane Single Pass.

The changes will allow guests to plan before arriving at the park; choose experiences and time slots before purchasing; and allow guests to book passes for multiple days.

Disney announced the change in response to guest feedback about wanting to plan their park experiences well in advance instead of the morning of their visit, the company said in a press release.

Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels will be able to plan Lightning Lane passes up to 7 days in advance, for their entire stay, up to 14 days. All other guests can …
