Disaster Recovery Center opens in Worthington [Video]

WORTHINGTON, M.N. (Dakota News Now) – A FEMA/State Disaster Recovery Center opened in Worthington this week to assist in recovery after severe storms and flooding.

The center opened on Tuesday, August 27 and specialists from FEMA, the state of Minnesota and the U.S. Small Business Administration will be available.

The specialists can help residents apply for federal disaster assistance, upload documents, get questions answered in person and access other types of help.

The center is located at the JBS Field House at 700 2nd Avenue. Operating hours are Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

A Disaster Recovery Center in Albert Lea also opened on Tuesday. The center is located at Albert Lea Fire Rescue at 417 S. Newton Avenue.

Both Disaster Recovery Centers will be closed on Labor Day.
