DALLAS — At first glance, footage from a Dallas neighborhood Ring camera seems unremarkable, but the story behind the dark blue Chevy truck seen driving away is anything but ordinary.
The truck was stolen from the driveway of a short-term rental home on Nov. 14, according to Dallas police. It belonged to Brenda Nurre, a deaf veteran. It represented years of hard work, she said.
“I’m mad,” Nurre told WFAA. “For them to take my truck hurts because I saved so much to have that.”
The theft has added to an already difficult time for her family. Nurre’s daughter, Emberly, is recovering from a devastating car crash.
