Day 2 of murder trial against William Polo Edwards [Video]

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – The state has rested in day two of the murder trial involving William “Polo” Edwards.

The public received more vital information regarding Edward’s whereabouts on the day of the murder of Robert Davis in 2022.

During Day 2 of the trial, the jury was shown footage of Edwards on the night of the murder, which showed him holding an object in the shape of a gun and passing a business near the crime scene, minutes after the 911 call was made.

The state rested its case after calling two witnesses: the lead investigator of the case, Grant Jones, and Madison County investigator John Choke.

Jones spoke about receiving warrants for Edward’s phone records, apartment, and Facebook account.

Edward’s phone pinged multiple times traveling to and from Clinton and near the scene of the crime.
