COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCSC) – The South Carolina Department of Revenue has announced the dates for South Carolina’s annual Tax Free Weekend next month.
Between August 2-4, shoppers can purchase eligible items tax-free in person or online. These items include school supplies, clothing, shoes, computers and printers.
“As inflation continues to drain many wallets, this year’s Tax Free Weekend offers some relief for weary families,” South Carolina Department of Revenue Director Hartley Powell said. “Every shopper saves money during this tax holiday, particularly on back-to-school essentials.”
During last year’s Tax Free Weekend, shoppers purchased more than $30.4 million in tax-free items.
