Dads-to-be and surrogate share IVF journey from Michigan to Ohio [Video]

OHIO, USA — Victor and Daniel Bancino met playing bingo 15 years ago. One thing led to another and the couple married on Dec. 11, 2015.

Their focus turned to the future.

“Victor right away said he always wanted to have kids,” Daniel said. “I kind of resigned myself to the fact that wasn’t going to be part of my life.”

The Bancinos tried adoption but said it just didn’t work for their family. Daniel describes his husband as determined and said Victor went online and found another option.

“There’s always hope. There’s always someone who, like us, will match you with the perfect person,” Victor said. “Dr. (Nicholas) Shamma is amazing.”

The agency connected the Bancinos with a surrogate, Michelle McKeever.
