Crews battle flames amid freezing temps at Windsor Twp. house fire | Berks Regional News [Video]

WINDSOR TWP., Pa. – Firefighters and emergency personnel had their work cut out for them as they battled a house fire amid snowy weather and freezing temperatures late Monday morning.

Crews from several companies were dispatched to the 800 block of Schappell Road in Windsor Twp. just after 11 a.m. for a reported structure fire.

Initial emergency dispatches called for a fire in a wood stove that ignited nearby furniture.

A second alarm was struck to bring more personnel to the scene.

There is no word at this time what caused the fire or if anyone was injured.

Firefighters on scene say pets inside the home required medical attention.
