PITTSBURG, Kan. — Pittsburg’s “Richard H. Pfeiffer Recovery Complex” is home to a new addiction treatment center.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held this afternoon to celebrate the addition of the center.
The new facility will expand the addiction treatment program from 24 to 32 beds.
Crawford County Mental Health Center Addiction Services Director James Childers says along with giving staff more space, it will enable them to offer a higher quality of care to patients.
“We’re bringing our outpatient and inpatient programs to the same facility, so that the counselors have the opportunity to work with people, inpatient and outpatient, a little bit more continuity of care for the clients,” said James Childers, Director of Addiction Services, Crawford County Mental Health Center.
