Controversial recount starts Sunday [Video]

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Candidate for Washoe County School Board District G At-Large post Paul White was well out of contention when election results were officially canvassed on June 21, 2024.

His count was nearly 9,000 votes out of first place.

But in Nevada a candidate can ask for a recount no matter where they finish.

Along with White, Mark Lawson, who’s roughly 2300 votes were 1700 votes shy of first place for Washoe County Commission District 4.

And Lily Baran joins White and Lawson asking for a recount in her Reno City Council Race, she came in third place, 16-votes behind the second-place finisher and 193 votes shy of first place.

That recount will begin on Sunday.
