A man who worked for a local contractor is accused of stealing jewelry and cash while on a job at a New Hartford residence.
NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. – A man who worked for a local contracting company is accused of stealing jewelry and cash while on a job at a New Hartford residence.
David Schmandt, 35, of Brantingham in Lewis County, has been charged with third-degree grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, both felonies, as well as petit larceny.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office did not release the name of the contracting company Schmandt worked for.
