Community mourns loss of DOT worker Andrew DiDomenico [Video]

WALLINGFORD, CT (WFSB) -Family and friends gathered on Saturday morning to bid a final farewell to Andrew DiDomenico, a beloved 26-year-old state DOT worker from Meriden who tragically lost his life in a work-related incident last June.

DiDomenico, described by his family as a kind and generous heart, was fatally injured when a driver under the influence veered off the road.

His untimely death has sparked outrage among state leaders, highlighting another preventable loss on Connecticut’s roads.

The wake was held at the Wallingford Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at a church in Meriden.
