Clarence Brown Theatre to host performance of holiday classic, A Christmas Carol, starting Nov. 21 [Video]

Clarence Brown Theatre said it would host showings of the classic holiday tale from Nov. 21 through Dec. 21.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A holiday favorite is returning to the Clarence Brown Theatre’s stage soon. Starting Nov. 21, audiences will be able to watch Ebenezer Scrooge’s haunting by three Christmas ghosts in the classic tale, “A Christmas Carol.”

The showing will run through most of the holiday season, ending on Dec. 21, and will be directed by the theatre’s own Patrick Lanczki. Performances will run around 2 hours and 20 minutes, with Jed Diamond acting as Ebenezer Scrooge. He has appeared on the stage several times before and has taught acting at the University of Tennessee.

The theatre features a cast of community artists from the Knoxville area, as well as undergraduate and master’s degree students from UT’s Department of Theatre program.
