PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – This afternoon, The City of Parkersburg reached an agreement with the Consumer Credit Counseling Service to provide $40,000 from the Community Development Block Grant.
The grant will be used to support the expansion of vital housing counseling services in response to the increasing demand within the community.
The CCCS has identified a growing need for assistance in various aspects of housing, including rental counseling, loss mitigation, and pre-purchase counseling. To address these challenges, CCCS has created a strategic plan aimed at increasing their capacity to serve the housing needs of the community.
With the willingness to address some of these needs means that the CCCS needs to expand their team to do so.
