Cincinnati City Council passes new OTR parking plan [Video]

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Parking availability has become more of a problem in Over-the-Rhine as new businesses open up and an influx of people become residents.

On Wednesday, the Cincinnati City Council voted unanimously to implement The North Curb Parking Plan, an idea that has been in the works since February.

The city’s plan, which encompasses more than 800 parking slots, will be reconfigured to include parking for residents only, paid parking and “flex” parking, which is shared between the residents and the business customers depending on the time of day.

Alexis Marsh is one of the people who led the charge on behalf of residents in North Over-the-Rhine.
