Whitestown, N.Y. — A 37-year-old Madison County man died Wednesday afternoon after his pickup truck went off a road and crashed into a home, sheriff’s deputies said.

Zechariah L. Lightsey, of Canastota, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado east on Clark Mills Road at around 3:33 p.m. when his truck veered into the opposite lane and off the road, Oneida County deputies said. It crashed into a mailbox, a utility pole and finally a home, deputies said.

Lightsey was declared dead at the scene. No one inside the home was hurt, deputies said.
