Car dealership ex-employee arrested for stealing company funds: CT police [Video]

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. — A former car dealership employee is facing charges for taking $142,000 from the company to pay personal bills, according to East Hartford police.

Brandy Kaiser, 40, of Manchester, is accused of writing Kia of East Hartford’s checks to herself and using the company bank account to pay rent, bills, an auto loan, and other debts while employed at the dealership.

Police discovered during the “lengthy and thorough” investigation that Kaiser took around $142,000 from Kia of East Hartford. Police did not specify the period of time in which Kaiser was fraudulently using Kia of East Hartford’s funds.

Kaiser turned herself in to police earlier in January and is facing charges of larceny, identity theft and illegal use of a payment card.
