Capstone Learning Academy prepares inaugural class next week [Video]

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) – The University of Alabama has cut the ribbon on its new Capstone Learning Academy.

University leaders took an old elementary school, renovated it, and it’s now the place where faculty and students can enroll their children while working or going to school at UA.

What sets it apart is the fact the children will begin their learning very early in their lives. Enrollment is underway with the program starting at the end of August 2024.

“This is something the university has thought about for a really long time and will serve our youngest members,” said UA President Dr. Stuart Bell.

As young as 6 weeks old all the way to 5 years old, it’s a $10 million investment, one that transformed the old Northington Elementary School to Capstone Learning Academy.
