Business owners met with the public and project leaders working on the new headquarters for Louisville Metro Police at the mayor’s ‘Meet the Owner’ event.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — On Wednesday, business owners met with leaders that are working on a high-profile project in downtown Louisville.
Gerald Palmer is the co-owner of Metro Flooring, a general contracting company.
He’s one of dozens of minority business owners trying to get an opportunity to work on phase one of Louisville Metro Police’s new $25 million dollar headquarters.
So far, he’s done work inside homes and classrooms within Jefferson County Public Schools.
“Honestly I probably wouldn’t have gotten one job if it wasn’t for 7PM, they are out to advocate and fight for you to get a little piece of the pie,” Palmer said.
