ELLICOTT CITY, Md. — Police have arrested a man in Maryland who they say sexually abused a teenager working for his small business. More victims are now being asked to step forward.
Joshua Durek, 54, is charged with sexual abuse of a minor as well as third-and-fourth degree sex offenses in this case. He turned himself over to police on Aug. 23 and is being held on a $100,000 bond at the Howard County Detention Center.
The alleged abuse took place on Aug. 16 at Duerk’s home in Ellicott City. Investigators say Durek sexually assaulted a 16-year-old boy he employed. Police were notified the next day and opened an investigation.
Officers say Durek owns a small business in the area and has employed juveniles in the past. He was also a volunteer coach at Centennial High School from 2007 to 2010 and is known to regularly …
