KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Some Brookside neighbors are participating in a green ribbon campaign honoring and remembering Shaun Brady.
Tim Thrun, who lives in Brookside, came up with the idea to honor Brady throughout September and encouraged other Brookside neighbors to get involved by hanging green ribbons on trees outside of their homes.
“I was thinking the community has to do something to show respect for this man,” Thrun said.
“He was a business owner, and he meant a lot to a lot of people, especially in the Brookside area.”
Shaun Brady was shot and killed on August 28th.
