Bright Futures Neosho receives donation from Griffith Motor Company [Video]

NEOSHO, Mo. — Of course, big checks are still used. And Bright Futures Neosho received one Thursday from the Griffith Motor Company. $1,250 bucks, which will go towards what the nonprofit does for more than 250 students each week through the school year – feed them.

Much like other area Bright Futures programs, Neosho’s operates solely off donations and grants, so this helps. As does the fact that it’s local help.

“Each year, we spend almost $40,000 on food, for funding for all of the kids that we serve – which is about 250 per week that we send home food for – so that’s the majority of our budget,” said Laura Burch, Neosho Bright Futures Coordinator.
