Boyfriend of missing Upstate woman pleads guilty to charges [Video]

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The United States Department of Justice announced that a man recently pleaded guilty to charges connected to the investigation into a missing woman from Spartanburg County.

Officials said 47-year-old Da’Ron Collins pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice and witness tampering.

According to officials, 44-year-old Casey Young was last seen on May 15, 2023, when she left work and went to the residence she shared with Collins in Boiling Springs.

Officials explained that Collins initially claimed that Young didn’t come home but later admitted that she showed up at the residence around 5:00 p.m. Security footage from the same day also showed Collins wiping down surfaces of Young’s car and hiding it in a parking lot away from their residence.

Officials said that two days before Young disappeared, officers responded to the couple’s residence after someone reported that Collins allegedly strangled Young. However, no charges were filed following the incident.
