Boston philanthropist, ad titan Jack Connors dies at 82 [Video]

Jack Connors, an advertising executive and philanthropist who became one of Boston’s most significant power brokers, died on Tuesday, according to multiple reports. He was 82.

Connors died of cancer in his Brookline home, according to The Boston Globe, which first reported his death. He was one of the founding partners of the advertising agency Hill Holliday and used the wealth he accrued from the business to launch an impactful philanthropy career, which included the launch of Camp Harbor View, a free day camp on Long Island in Boston Harbor, in 2007, WBUR reported.
