A community came together Thursday evening to support a Billerica VFW post after it was robbed of a safe with thousands of dollars inside. A meat raffle — stocked with pork chops, stuffed chicken, ribs, and steak — was held Thursday to raise money for the post. The raffle, a regularly occurring event, drew in a much larger crowd Thursday after the community heard of the robbery. “This is just our regular Thursday night meat raffle, but we don’t have this big of a crowd on Thursday night,” post Cmdr. Larry Keller said. Police arrested two men, 47-year-old San Sin and 53-year-old Christopher Silva, who they say are two of the three who broke into the post early Monday morning. They also said one of the two was caught on camera picking up a snack at a next-door Cumberland Farms before allegedly breaking into the VFW post.Keller said the arrested …
