JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Starting off in the upper 70s to low 80s this morning with a few light showers. Dangerous heat will remain in place today, and stormy weather is on the way.
As we get into the start of this work week, the remnants of Beryl will move northeast from its current position in east Texas. As it does so, a band of rain/storms will move through central MS from west to east. Some of these storms could bring damaging wind gusts, especially along the MS river. Timing will be from late this afternoon through early tomorrow morning. Unfortunately, this won’t change temperatures much for Tuesday since the rain will be done before peak heating. Highs will remain in the low 90s.
