Berkeley Co. officials speak to residents about their concerns in the community [Video]

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – A series of meetings held by Berkeley County is continuing to bring out community members to learn more about topics such as county finances, capital projects, roadways, new additions to enhance public safety, the greenbelt program, and much more.

Residents also have the chance to talk to county officials about concerns they may have within their community.

On Wednesday night, the county held their second meeting of the series at Philip Simmons High School. Both the Berkeley County Sheriff, Duane Lewis, and the county’s supervisor, Johnny Cribb, spoke at the meeting.

Lewis said that the idea to have this meeting series stemmed from the county’s growing population and the importance of keeping the community informed about what’s going on.
