A Camden-based BBQ company was in Fordyce helping out those devastated by the mass shooting on June 21.
FORDYCE, Ark. — On Saturday, a BBQ fundraiser was held in Fordyce to raise money for victims’ families after the June 21 mass shooting.
Clifton and Angela Humphries, who own The Flaming Pig BBQ, came up with the idea for the fundraiser.
While they have lived in Fordyce in the past, the business is currently based in Camden—about thirty minutes away.
“We just have a lot of friends and family that still live here,” Angela Humphries said.
That’s why the Humphries brought their food truck to Fordyce Saturday morning, providing sandwiches, chips and water to community members in exchange for donations.
Daniel Casey, who owns a physical therapy practice in Fordyce, said that acts like these make the recovery process a little bit easier.
