Baton Rouge sorority hosting small business pop-up shop and pitch competition [Video]

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A small business pop-up shop and pitch competition is set for this Sunday in Baton Rouge.

It’s being hosted by the Baton Rouge Delta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Economic Development Committee.

It is scheduled to take place from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the John E. Montgomery II Auditorium, 222 Blount Road.

According to the sorority, “This event is designed to empower small minority and female-owned businesses to present their entrepreneurial ideas and seize the opportunity to elevate their business.”

They said, “This pitch competition will be judged by individuals who work daily to give entrepreneurs the tools and resources they need to be successful.”

Greek show in Baton Rouge raising money for student scholarships

The winners will receive business grants.

The sorority encouraged young people and young business owners to take part in this event.
