The Giants put their starting defense on the field together for the first time in their Week 2 preseason game against the Texans, and it went about as many expected.

Their experienced, star-studded defensive line with new defensive coordinator Shane Bowen, who is one of the best at stopping the run, was able to win at the line of scrimmage. Meanwhile their secondary, without much experience or many high draft picks, struggled against the Texans’ explosive passing game.
