WASHINGTON — A large furniture chain announced the closure of all of its locations nationwide earlier this month, including many in Virginia and one in Maryland.
American Freight has already begun closing down its 328 locations and its online warehouse. The closure comes as American Freight’s parent company, Franchise Group, Inc., began Chapter 11 proceedings in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware.
Hilco Consumer-Retail, the company handling sales while the business winds down, says shoppers can save up to 30% off the lowest ticket prices storewide on items including living room sets, bedroom furniture, dining tables and a selection of scratch and dent, and new-in-box appliances, such as refrigerators, washers and dryers.
