African entrepreneurs work to bring business to home countries through Iowa visit [Video]

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Young leaders from halfway around the world will be in Cedar Rapids for one-on-one discussions with local business owners. It’s through the Mandela Washington Fellowship, which brings people from African nations to the United States to learn about entrepreneurship and how they can help their home countries.

Fellows are spending six weeks in Iowa. They just wrapped up a course at the University of Iowa’s College of Business. The main goal is to prepare them to bring business to their home countries.

For the next three weeks, they’ll be exploring more of Iowa while volunteering at area nonprofits.
