Adrian police continue to look for those responsible for vandalizing the fairgrounds on June 8.
ADRIAN, Mich. — In June, WTOL 11 shared a story about the bathrooms and a section of the Lenawee County Fairgrounds being vandalized.
Now, both areas have been re-done thanks to efforts from Lenawee County businesses.
“It’s so humbling to know that there are still kind people out there,” said fairgrounds Office Manager Heather Downs. “You don’t see it. You hear about it, but you don’t see it, and until something like this happens to you or comes close to home, you don’t really know how you’re going to react, but it’s definitely very humbling.”
One month ago, the men’s bathroom at the fairgrounds was a total wreck with every toilet, urinal, and mirror being destroyed by currently-unknown vandals, as well as damaged mirrors and toilets in the next door women’s bathroom.
Meanwhile at the grandstand, a section of railing was damaged, altogether ringing up a bill in the thousands.
