Opening ceremony held for General John Stark Memorial Bridge [Video]

A ceremony was held on Tuesday to mark the completion of the General John Stark Memorial Bridge, which connects Hinsdale, New Hampshire, and Brattleboro, Vermont.The New Hampshire Department of Transportation and the two towns held an opening ceremony on Tuesday despite the bridge not being open to motorists until later this week. The new bridge spans the Connecticut River and is expected to reduce travel times and improve safety compared to the previous bridges it replaces.The project cost more than $61 million and has been ongoing for several years.
