Omaha entrepreneurs celebrate Small Business Saturday [Video]

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – At The Next Chapter, the owner greets her customers with a hug, some she’s known for years.

Others get a friendly “welcome” and any help they need finding a book.

For Small Business Saturday, they teamed up with another small business owner, Ryan Barry.

“It’s getting to know your customer,” Owner Sherry Mutun said. “I have a lot of loyal customers. They come in. We chat with them. And we know what they want. It’s individualized. It’s an experience.”

“When you come to a small business, you’re coming to a family,” Barry said. “You’re not going to a big corporation. You’re going to your neighbors.”

One small business Saturday customer tells First Alert 6 is the personal experience that brings him in.

“I found everything I need here. Talk to people you don’t get that a big box stores,” Customer Mitchell Dooley said.
