With the 2024 Presidential election concluded, many are wondering what the outlook for U.S. monetary policy will be in 2025. What could a second term for Donald Trump mean for interest rates?

Christ says, “We’ve seen in the economy lately is a pretty strong labor market, inflation gradually coming down, and growth holding steady. In this environment, I believe the Federal Reserve will be cautious about aggressively cutting rates. The Fed has been tightening policy for a while now, and with the economy remaining resilient, they may feel that they don’t need to make additional cuts to stimulate growth.”

Tucson in process of changing EV parking codes [Video]

After mayor and council voted for a one year follow up to see how EV codes were holding up in Tucson, staff found two areas of concern where code implementation led to unintended consequences. The Planning and Development Services Department is starting the process to amend the code.
