Legacy Parks secures three islands on French Broad River [Video]

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Legacy Parks Foundation announced they have acquired three islands bordering Seven Islands State Birding Park along the French Broad River. This purchase completes the protection of all the islands related to the state park, according to a release.

Legacy Parks was awarded a grant from the Tennessee Heritage Conservation Trust Fund to preserve and enhance the historic site. 

“We are thrilled to conserve these beautiful and historical lands along our French Broad River and are looking forward to the community making great use of this amazing riverfront property and beautiful stretch of river,” Carol Evans, executive director, said.
