A road in Lexington is closed as crews work to remove a tree and downed power lines while over 100 homes wait for power to be restored.
LEXINGTON, S.C. — Officials say crews are working to clear a tree and downed power line from Lexington Road on Saturday morning.
The Lexington Police Department announced around 9 a.m. that Brookhill West off Park Road is closed due to a tree that brought down live power lines.
Police urged the public to be cautious and patient while Dominion Energy and the Town of Lexington Parks and Sanitation work to clear the road.
As of 10:15 a.m., Dominion Energy listed three outages on both sides of Park Road, impacting about 125 customers. The utility estimated a restoration time of 11 a.m. for all three outages.
