Bryant Parkway expansion complete, set to open Friday [Video]

BRYANT, Ark. – The city of Bryant is opening the last stretch of Bryant parkway Friday morning.

The entire Bryant parkway project has taken about 10 years to complete. This final stretch is about 3 miles long, and it took 1 and a half years to create.

Highway 5 widening plan aims to improve Interstate 30 traffic flow in Bryant

The goal is to help with traffic congestion, improve connectivity and access to schools and businesses, as well as promote economic growth.

The parkway provides a north to south corridor in the area.

Mayor of Bryant, Chris Treat, says he’s excited for the opening and thankful for the stakeholders over the years who have played a role in making this happen.
