ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – United States Senator Ted Cruz stopped in Abilene at the Hartmann’s Inc. Facility for a roundtable discussion on the state’s current business and manufacturing climate.

Following his discussion with local leaders and a tour of the facility, Senator Cruz shared with the public his view on many pressing issues months ahead of the 2024 elections. For Sen. Cruz, one of his main issues is creating more jobs in the growing Texas population.

“What are the states they’re fleeing from… big blue states that have high taxes, that have high regulations that hammer small businesses, that hammer jobs. And they come to Texas for a whole lot of reasons. But number one, Texas is where the jobs are,” Sen. Cruz said. “If you create an environment where small businesses are prospering, they’re growing, they’re expanding . . . you get lots and lots of jobs.”
